Querie: The New Childcraft
Nature of Identity, Spring 2014, AAU
For this class, we were to take a dying or defunct brand to rebrand and revive. I chose Childcraft: The How and Why Library, a set of children's encyclopedias I remember fondly from my childhood. Each volume was full of illustrations, topics ranging from math to crafts — I loved it. My vision for the brand was taking that sense of curiosity and joy and bringing it to experiences beyond print — on to apps and real life experiences. Loved working on this and going through old Childcraft volumes for the amazing illustrations — I almost want to make this project real!
